SN201 Intermediate Spanish 1 - SN 201 reviews all grammar and major topics from SN 101 and 102. This course incorporates more reading, writing and conversation than first-year courses and explores more matters dealing with Hispanic cultures. Students expand their proficiency into areas such as expressing opinions and persuading.
This course solidified my three years of Spanish from high school and reinforced the language enough to have a basic understanding of it. While I cannot claim to have a high proficiency, I feel comfortable enough to understand the basics of a simple conversation and have a great base to build off of should I pursue the language again. We wrote biweekly short papers for this class on topics which expressed perceptions and personal opinions. I wrote about Marquette (La Ciudad de Marquette), My best friend (Mi Mejor Amigo Griffin), and my family (Mi Familia). For these papers we had to use proper conjugations and could not consult the internet for translations.
